- Horse Mandapas are a unique style of Vijayanagara architecture. Their love on horses are evident from the depiction of giant horses carved on the pillars with Horsemen in various poses each with unique head gear and attire.
- As horse trade flourished between Vijayanagara Empire and Arabs, many horses were brought by them. Also other trades flourished with Portuguese. This resulted in recruitment of Arabs and Portuguese in their army too.
- Large Horse Mandapas with gigantic pillars containing Horse riders is an attractive feature in many Vijayanagara Temples.
- Notable are Ranganathaswamy Temple at Sri Rangam(Tamilnadu), Vijaya Vittala Temple at Hampi(Karnataka), Jalakandeswara Temple at Vellore(Tamilnadu) and Varadharaja Perumal Temple at Kanchipuram (Tamilnadu).
And another important attraction is 'Monolithic Stone Chain'.
